Liverpool close in on 'BIG DEAL'

Liverpool are inching closer to the signing of one of Ligue 1's best in the winter transfer window.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has shown keen interest in signing up a new striker this month, having seen the likes of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert fail to impress during the first-half of the campaign.

According to The Express, the Merseyside giants are closing to agreeing a £14m deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Lavezzi has failed to play on a regular basis for Les Parisiens this season, and is eager to seek pastures elsewhere before the transfer deadline.
