Chelsea to make fresh bid for Varane

Chelsea will renew their interest for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane at the end of the season, according to The Guardian.

The French defender is rated highly by current Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti.

However, his failure to feature in the starting 11 on a regular basis could force him to leave the Bernabeu in the near future.

The Guardian claims that Blues manager Jose Mourinho has given the green light for the club to make a fresh offer for the talented centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League with 63 points.
