Ayoze Perez on Man City radar

Manchester City are among the clubs interested in signing Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez, according to manager John Carver.

The 21-year-old has been in good form for the Magpies since his switch from Spanish Segunda division side Tenerife last summer.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been associated with the player's services in recent weeks, but Magpies boss John Carver has suggested that the Premier League champions are also tracking the youngster's situation.

"I'm not surprised [by the interest in Perez]. He's a young lad and an exciting talent," He said.

"I know for a fact there is interest. You go in coaches' rooms after games and have a chat. A few people have spoken very highly of him, which is good. I had a good chat with Brian Kidd at Man City about him."

Perez has scored five goals for the Tyneside outfit this season.
