Hodgson gets Fulham job
Roy Hodgson has been appointed as boss of Fulham. The 60-year-old has coached at Inter Milan and Blackburn and has a wealth of experience at the top level. Hodgson will take charge of Fulham after the weekend's game against Birmingham.
The West London club are struggling at the moment in the Premiership after a poor run of results sent them hurtling from 12th position to the dreaded relegation zone over the last month.
Fulham said in a statement on fulhamfc.com, that Hodgson is on a âlong term contractâ thus negating suggestion of any makeshift arrangement.
Hodgson said on premierleague.com: "I am delighted to have been offered this opportunity with Fulham.
"After long talks with the chairman and the board I am convinced that we can take the club to a new level.
"I am determined that we will overcome the current position, which I understand will be a challenge, but one that I will relish.
"I am very much looking forward to training with the team on Sunday, and will of course be at St Andrews tomorrow to watch the vital clash against Birmingham City."
