Arsenal to sell David Ospina
David Ospina will join Turkish side Fenerbahce next week in a 6.75 million euro deal.
The Colombian goalkeeper will make way for the inbound Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech. Ospina played as first choice at the Emirates Stadium last season after winning the number 1 jersey from Wojiech Szczesny. However, with Arsenal desperate to add a more influential and world class keeper to their squad, the Gunners have moved a step closer to agreeing a deal for Czech Republic star Petr Cech. Ospina will therefore be heading for the exit door, with Fenerbahce understood to have already agreed a fee with Arsenal. That brings the former Nice goalkeeper's stay in North London to a swift but successful end.
