Arsenal to announce Cech signing on Monday

Arsenal will make an official announcement regarding the arrival of goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea on Monday.

The Czech international had a medical at the Gunners on Friday following negotiations over personal terms.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho had wanted the player to make a move abroad, but owner Roman Abramovich decided to acknowledge Cech's desire to remain in London with his family.

It is now revealed that the talented shot-stopper will complete his long-awaited £11m switch to the Emirates on Monday.

Cech decided to call quits on his 11-year long Blues career having been forced to play as an understudy to Thibaut Courtois last season.
