Arsenal withdraw Schneiderlin interest

Arsenal will not pursue the signature of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, according to reports.

The France international has been tipped to leave St.Mary's during the summer transfer window, with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United keen on signing him up.

However, The Mirror now claims that the Gunners have dropped their interest in the Frenchman, with United close to sealing a deal for the talented midfielder.

It is added that manager Arsene Wenger is keen on bringing in Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho instead.
