Sunderland to sign Fabio Borini?

Sunderland are understood to be closing in on a deal for Liverpool flop Fabio Borini.

The one-time Italy international spent the 2013/14 season on loan at the Black Cats, and was impressive throughout the campaign.

However, he rejected a permanent move to the Stadium of Light last year, as he was focussed on regaining a starting spot at the Reds.

According to The Mail, the Wearside outfit will look to seal yet another loan deal for the former Chelsea graduate.

Borini was Brendan Rodgers' first signing as Liverpool manager back in 2012.
