Chelsea sign Papy Djilobodji

Chelsea have completed the signing of defender Papy Djilobodji from French side Nantes on a four-year deal.

The Senegalese international emerged as the Blues' top target after the club failed in many attempts to land Everton star John Stones.

The 27-year-old was believed to have undergone a medical with the Premier League champions yesterday, and it is now confirmed that the West London giants have secured the player's services for an undisclosed fee.

Djilobodji made 32 appearances in all competitions for Nantes.
