Real Madrid sack Rafael Benitez
Real Madrid have announced that they have parted ways with manager Rafael Benitez.
The Spaniard makes way from the Bernabeu just seven months after he was appointed as Carlo Ancelotti's successor.
Recent reports had claimed that the former Liverpool and Inter Milan boss could be heading out of Los Blancos following the club's 2-2 draw against an underperforming Valencia side.
It is now official that the former European champions have relieved Benitez from his duties with club legend Zinedine Zidane set to take over the reigns at the Bernabeu.
Zidane worked as Ancelotti's assistant during their Champions League winning campaign in 2014.
