Newcastle table Loic Remy bid

Newcastle United have made an offer for French striker Loic Remy. The 29-year-old has been told he is free to leave Chelsea.

Remy has over two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge and is said to be looking for regular football elsewhere. AS Monaco are also closely monitoring the striker's transfer situation and hold a long term interest in the talented forward. Remy has been linked with a 7 million GBP move to St James' Park.
