Gary Cahill wants Chelsea exit

England international Gary Cahill could make way from Chelsea before the winter transfer deadline.

The 30-year-old has failed to nail a regular role in the first-team this season with club-captain John Terry and Kurt Zouma preferred as the ideal central defensive partnership.

Reuters suggests that the experienced defender may seek a fresh challenge away from Stamford Bridge this month amid fears of losing his place with the national side for this summer's European championships.

It is also known that Cahill could fall below Everton star John Stones in the pecking order for England, should he remain at Chelsea for the season.

Cahill has made just 12 appearances for the Blues this term.
