Tottenham in Batshuayi talks

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be in advanced negotiations to sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian international has been the stand-out performer for the Ligue 1 side, who have had a below-par season till date.

Batshuayi has caught the attention of several European clubs over the past year, but according to L'Equipe, Spurs have become the first side to begin talks for the player.

It is added that Mauricio Pochettino's team will face stiff competition from West Ham United, who are keeping close tabs on the player's developments.

The 22-year-old has notched 15 goals and seven assists for his club this season.
