Christian Benteke to West Ham ?

West Ham United will make an ambitious move for Liverpool striker Christian Benteke this summer.

The Belgian international signed for Liverpool at the start of the season following an admirable stint with Aston Villa.

However, he has since then struggled to prove his credentials at the Merseyside outfit, and currently finds himself warming the substitutes' bench.

According to Brentwood Gazette, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic will seek to bring in a couple of marquee signings ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium.

The report adds that Liverpool's pairing of Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke are heading the club's shortlist for the summer.

West Ham United are currently seventh in the league standings with 40 points.
