Arsenal in surprise Benteke link

Arsenal could make a summer swoop for unsettled Liverpool striker Christian Benteke, according to reports.

The Belgian international joined the Reds from Aston Villa last summer, and many predicted that he could be a huge success at the Merseyside outfit.

However, he has struggled to adapt to the club's style of play, and currently finds himself below the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge, and Divock Origi in the pecking order.

According to Metro, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of the Belgian international and could seek to land his signature at the end of the season.

Benteke has netted just six goals in the Premier League this term.
