Alexis Sanchez on Real Madrid radar

Real Madrid could launch a surprise bid for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez this summer. The Chile international joined the Gunners from Barcelona last season, and notched an impressive tally of 25 goals in all competitions.

However, he has struggled to replicate a similar showing this term following a hamstring problem suffered during the festive period.

Spanish source Fichajes claims that Real boss Zinedine Zidane is ready to have a major shake-up to his squad with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez and Isco likely to make way from the Bernabeu.

The report adds that Los Blancos could seek to lure Sanchez to the Spanish capital, should the Gunners fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Sanchez is also said to be a top transfer target for Madrid rivals Atletico Madrid.
