PSG look to Gonzalo Higuain

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are considering an approach for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine has been tipped to pursue a challenge in a new league this summer.

Manager Laurent Blanc is on the look out for a top-class marksman with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to depart Parc des Princes at the conclusion of his contract next month.

According to French publication Le Parisien, the Ligue 1 holders could join the chase to sign Higuain, who has caught the eye of top Premier League clubs over the past year.

It is also believed that the former Real Madrid graduate would demand a regular berth upfront and this could clash with Edinson Cavani's ambitions of leading the line at the Capital outfit.

Higuain ended his season in bright fashion as he broke the Serie A scoring record for a single campaign - 36 goals in just 35 league outings.
