Everton, Southampton target Georginio Wijnaldum
Premier League Everton and Southampton are set to go head-to-head in the chase to land Newcastle United attacker Georginio Wijnaldum. The Netherlands international is said to be considering his future after the Magpies were relegated from the top flight.
Wijnaldum, 25, was the stand out performer for the Magpies despite their failure to beat the drop during the previous season.
According to The Mirror, the Toffees and Saints scouts were in attendance to watch the player score in Holland's 2-0 win over Austria at Vienna on Saturday.
It is thought that Saints' Dutch boss Ronald Koeman, tipped to join Everton, is a huge fan of his countryman's talents.
Wijnaldum netted 11 league goals for the Tyneside outfit last term.
