Chelsea in Dimitri Payet link

Chelsea are hopeful of pursuing a deal for West Ham United sensation Dimitri Payet. The Frenchman had a fabulous season with the Hammers following his move from Marseille last summer.

According to The Express, the Blues are set to hold negotiations with the Hammers after they were impressed by the player's immense contribution towards France's 2-1 win over Romania in the Euro 2016 opener.

Adding to this, the 29-year-old could be allowed to seek a fresh challenge, should any side table a £60m bid for his services.

Meanwhile, a French insider suggests that the player is likely to stay put at East London given how he has progressed under Slaven Bilic.

Payet amassed 12 goals and 14 assists in all competitions last term.
