Roma keen on Georginio Wijnaldum
Roma are looking to bring in Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum to bolster their ranks ahead of next season. The Giallorossi currently have a void in their squad after the departure of Miralem Pjanic to Juventus.
Wijnaldum, 25, had an impressive debut campaign for the Magpies, but it was not enough to keep them above the relegation zone.
Since then, the player has been linked with a whole host of clubs with the Magpies preferring to reduce their wage bill ahead of a tough campaign in the Championship.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma will step up their interest in the Netherlands international provided they manage to cash in on the services of out-of-favour Leandro Paredes.
The Dutch midfielder racked 11 goals and five assists for the Tyneside outfit during the previous season.
