Man Utd prepare fresh Mkhitaryan bid

Manchester United are set to up their bid for Henrikh Mkhitaryan after Borussia Dortmund snubbed their initial approach. The Armenian international is desperate for a move to Old Trafford in this summer's transfer window.

The 27-year-old has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks after he stalled on talks over a contract extension at BVB.

According to The Mirror, the Red Devils will come up with a fresh attempt to sign the attacker having seen an initial £19m offer rebuffed by the Bundesliga outfit.

A bid of around £28m is likely to be placed on the table for the forward-minded player.

Dortmund are reluctant to cash in on Mkhitaryan over the summer following the sales of Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels to Manchester City and Bayern Munich respectively.

Mkhitaryan has one year left on his existing deal at BVB.
