United negotiating with Pogba's agent over Old Trafford return

Manchester United are in talks with Paul Pogba's agent over a summer return to Old Trafford, according to reports in the Spanish media today.

Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that United have entered into "serious negotiations" with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola over bringing the talented Juventus midfielder back to Manchester this summer.

Pogba previously came through United's academy after signing from Le Harvre as a 15-year-old. But the Frenchman only made a handful of appearances for the Red Devils and became frustrated at his lack of playing time under then-United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Unable to agree a new contract with the club, Pogba joined Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, where he immediately became a first-team regular, helping the Old Lady win four successive Serie A titles.

It is thought that United always maintained an interest in bringing Pogba back to Old Trafford, but were put off by the negative perception of paying a huge sum to re-sign a player they once allowed to leave for free.

However, new United boss José Mourinho seems to have convinced the club to do whatever it takes to sign Pogba this summer, and AS claim they are now leading the chase for the 23-year-old's signature ahead of Real Madrid.

Juventus do not want to allow their star man to leave, and it is thought that a world record bid of at least €120 million will be required to convince the Bianconeri to sell.
