Mkhitaryan flying in for United medical

Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be set to complete his move to Manchester United this evening, as a flight from Dortmund is due to arrive at Manchester airport's private terminal shortly, according to the Manchester Evening News.

This discovery has sparked speculation that the gifted Armenian playmaker is poised to seal his £30 million switch to Old Trafford in the coming hours.

Mkhitaryan has one year remaining on his Borussia Dortmund contract and the German club were originally unwilling to let him leave this summer.

But, via his agent Mino Raiola, the 27-year-old former Shakhtar Donetsk player has agitated for his "dream move" to the 20-time English champions, and it seems he has got his wish.

It was reported earlier this week that the two clubs had come to an agreement on a deal thought to be worth €38-42 million.

Mkhitaryan was a vital part of Thomas Tuchel's BVB side which finished runners-up to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga last season, as he topped the German league's assist table, while netting over 20 goals in all competitions.

Mkhitaryan will be joined at Old Trafford by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is also a Raiola client, after the veteran Swede announced via social media yesterday that he would be joining the Red Devils.

Ibrahimovic is believed to be in Manchester right now to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a one-year £220,000 per week deal.
