Man Utd to confirm Pogba deal by Monday
Manchester United are set to confirm that they have reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Paul Pogba by Monday, according to reports.
Sky Sports News HQ is reporting that the final details of what will be a world record breaking deal have finally been agreed, and that United will soon confirm that Pogba is set for a spectacular return to Old Trafford pending a medical.
Sky Sports News HQ also reported that the Red Devils are set to confirm the deal before Monday 8 August.
United are preparing to take on Premier League champions Leicester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.
The Old Trafford club have been chasing Pogba for most of the summer, with the ongoing saga taking several twists and turn with rumours of rival interest from Real Madrid.
It was also thought that the substantial fee due to the player's agent, Mino Raiola, had thrown a spanner in the works of the potential deal.
But it is now being widely reported that a total agreement has been reached, with United shelling out a world record transfer fee of €110 million (£92 million), and Pogba receiving an annual salary of €13 million after tax.
The astronomical fee that United are set to spend on Pogba will eclipse the current transfer record set by Gareth Bale's £85.6 million switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid in 2013.
