West Ham to face Romanian opposition in Europa League
West Ham Utd have been drawn against Astra Giurgiu of Romania in the Europa League play-off round. The East London side defeated defeated Slovenian side NK Domzale 4-2 on aggregate following a 3-0 victory in their first competitive match at their new Olmypic stadium home on Thursday night.
Slaven Bilic's men finished seventh in last year's Premier League and they will be aiming to join Manchester United and Southampton in the group phase of Europe's second tier competition.
The first leg on the ties will take place on the 18th of August, with the return fixture a week later on the 25th of August.
