Buckley signs for Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday have signed Sunderland winger Will Buckley on a season long loan.
Buckley, who is 26 years of age has been a peripheral figure at the Stadium of Light for the majority of his two seasons there and did not feature at all for the club last season in the Premier League. However, he had loan spells at Leeds United and Birmingham in the Championship, where he will link up with the Owls. Wednesday have confirmed that Buckley will be available for Sunday's opening game against Aston Villa and will wear the number 38 shirt.
Buckley, who made his debut with Brighton , scoring 19 goals in 64 League starts before he moved to Wearside on a deal worth £2.5 million.
Transfer Rumours:
The Daily Mirror reports that Everton have offered Belgian international Romelu Lukaku £135,000 a week to stay at the club amid interest from his former club Chelsea. Everton are prepared to spend more money on Wolfsburg's Julian Draxler with the Independent reporting they will pay £63 million.
