Arsenal still keen on Oguzhan Ozyakup

Arsenal remain interested in re-signing former graduate Oguzhan Ozyakup from Turkish champions Besiktas. The midfielder has previously caught the eye of Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.

According to Turkish source Milliyet, manager Arsene Wenger is keen on a reunion with the 23-year-old who left the Emirates in the summer of 2012.

The Frenchman had previously contacted the player's representatives in May, and it seems a deal could get through before the close of the transfer window.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are in crunch negotiations with Valencia as they bid to recruit Shkodran Mustafi to bolster their backline.

The North London outfit are in dire need of a central defender after Gabriel joined Per Mertesacker in the treatment room.

Ozyakup has amassed 22 goals and 32 assists in all competitions for Besiktas.
