Liverpool keen on Fabio Coentrao
Liverpool are eyeing a move for Real Madrid outcast Fabio Coentrao. The Portugal international was previously a target for Manchester United.
Jurgen Klopp is desperate to pursue a new left-back in the transfer window after Alberto Moreno underperformed in the 4-3 win over Arsenal at the Emirates.
According to Spanish source Sport, Coentrao has emerged as a surprise target for the Reds, given his experience playing in the big games.
Coentrao recently returned from his loan spell at Monaco, and he is unlikely to feature in Zinedine Zidane's for the current campaign.
Liverpool will propose a season-long loan for the 28-year-old with the option to buy in 12 months' time.
Having suffered a thigh injury prior to Euro 2016, Coentrao will take sometime to get back into first-team, but the Reds are not fluttered.
