Klopp to keep faith in Liverpool flop Moreno

Alberto Moreno news

The Liverpool manager is not looking for new left-back

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp will keep faith in under fire left-back Alberto Moreno, rather than taking to the transfer market to find a solution, according to reports.

The Daily Express is reporting that Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has not given up hope of Alberto Moreno turning his current poor form around, despite the Spanish full-backs string of costly errors, and the German coach will not look to sign a replacement before the transfer window closes in two weeks’ time.

Moreno has come in for heavy criticism from fans and media alike in recent months, with the former Sevilla defender being blamed for two of the goals Liverpool conceded against his old club in the Europa League final 3-1 defeat last season.

The Reds have been linked with a possible move to sign Germany international left-back Jonas Hector from FC Köln for around £16 million.

The 26-year-old was impressive during the recent UEFA European Championship in France, as he helped Germany reach the semi-finals before being eliminated by the host nation.

But it now appears that Klopp prefers to stick with Moreno in the hope that he can help the Spaniard overcome his error-prone ways.

Liverpool have already added to their defensive ranks this summer with the signings of central defenders Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan from Schalke 04 and Augsburg respectively.
