Mahrez commits future to Leicester City

Algerian international Riyad Mahrez has ended all speculation by inking a fresh four-year contract at the Premier League champions. Arsenal have been strongly linked with the attacker this month.

The 25-year-old has pledged his future at the King Power Stadium after a season that saw the Foxes clinch an unlikely league title.

Mahrez netted 17 goals and assisted a further 11 as Claudio Ranieri's team cruised to an unprecedented and historic triumph. He was also named as the PFA Player of the Year for his excellent contribution through the campaign.

Apart from Mahrez, the likes of Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan, Kasper Schmeichel and Andy King have secured long-term deals with the East Midlands side.

The winger joined the Foxes from French minnows Le Havre in 2014 for a bargain price of just £500k.
