City open to Hart offers

Pep Guardiola has revealed that Joe Hart is free to leave Manchester City before the close of the transfer window. The England international's position has come into question after Willy Caballero was favoured for the opening game against Sunderland.

The 29-year-old had a summer to forget as his goalkeeping blunder cost England a place in the latter stages of Euro 2016.

Speculation over Hart's future has risen in recent days with City having agreed on a deal to sign Barcelona's Claudio Bravo. The Chilean is likely to earn the number one role, and this puts the Englishman as a potential second or third-choice at the Etihad.

Pep has now insisted that the Citizens will not come in Hart's way, should he decide to part ways with the club this month,

"I spoke with Joe the first moment we met in China, I have a lot of respect for him as a person and as a keeper. He's valuable. Until August 31, everything is open. If Joe is still here, he will fight for his place," he told reporters.

Everton are currently heading the queue for Hart, who is valued in the £30m range.
