Juve still keen on Darmian

Juventus will step up their interest in Matteo Darmian in January with Stephan Lichtsteiner likely to force his way out of the club. The Italy international has fallen out-of-favour at Manchester United.

The 26-year-old is currently the third-choice right-back at Old Trafford behind the likes of Antonio Valencia and Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

Tuttosport reports that the Old Lady will revive their pursuit for Darmian in 2017 with Lichtsteiner eyeing an exit from the Turin giants.

The Swiss full-back has seen his playing time cut short since Dani Alves arrived from Barcelona this summer, and signs are he would find a new club at the earliest opportunity.

Inter Milan are believed to have already held negotiations with the player's representatives, and a deal may well be finalized in the winter transfer window.

Meanwhile, Darmian has been frozen out from the first-team under Jose Mourinho, and he would be open to a return to Serie A, where he made a name for himself with Torino.
