Adebayor heading for Spurs return?
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly tabled a sensational offer to re-sign former player Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togo international is out-of-contract following his stint with Crystal Palace.
According to TMW, the former Arsenal man could headed for a surprise return to White Hart Lane after Spurs proposed a pay-to-play deal.
The 32-year-old is currently mulling over the offer as he is more focused on earning a permanent role at a London-based club.
Championship side Fulham were linked with Adebayor's services earlier this summer, but their interest seems to have diminished due to the player's wage demands.
Adebayor spent the second-half of last season with Crystal Palace, but failed to do enough to earn himself a longer stint.
The striker was once a fan favourite at Arsenal before he ruined it all by sealing a move to Manchester City in 2009. He followed to enjoy loan spells at Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur after which he committed his future to the latter. He failed to keep his performance levels in the seasons which followed and was eventually released by mutual content in September 2015.
