Leicester City place their demands for Drinkwater
Premier League holders Leicester City want Morgan Schneiderlin as part of the deal which would see Danny Drinkwater rejoin Manchester United in the New Year.
The 26-year-old was key to the Foxes' league triumph last season, and this had attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur over the summer. But, the midfielder was committed to the East Midlands side, and opted to pen a fresh five-year deal last month.
According to The People, the England international has had a change of thought in recent days after he became aware of Jose Mourinho's desire to land his services.
Drinkwater was in the youth ranks at Old Trafford, and even made it to the first-team squad before the lack of playing time meant that he linked up with the Foxes in 2012.
He has since racked over 180 appearances for the English champions, but the opportunity of rejoining his former club still remains on his mind.
Claudio Ranieri's side currently rate their asset at around £40m, and it is believed that they would sell the Englishman, should United offer Schneiderlin as part of a negotiated deal.
