Memphis Depay wanted by Milan

AC Milan will reportedly step up their efforts to sign Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay in the winter transfer window. The Dutchman has yet to make a Premier League start for the Red Devils this season.

Depay, 22, joined the Mancunian giants from PSV Eindhoven last year, and there were suggestions he could replicate the performances of former star Cristiano Ronaldo.

But, he struggled to live up to his hype, finishing the previous campaign with just two goals in 29 league outings.

With Jose Mourinho taking over the reigns this summer, the Netherlands international has literally fallen down the pecking order, and he is now a player waiting on the reserves for his chance.

Tuttomercato suggests that the Rossoneri will launch a winter attempt to pursue the talented winger, who has been restricted to just 10 minutes of league football this season.

Depay was an unused subsitute in midweek as Manchester United triumphed over Zorya by a 1-0 scoreline in the Europa League.
