Barcelona cool Bellerin pursuit

Barcelona are reported to have ended their interest in Arsenal's Hector Bellerin with Joao Cancelo being their latest target. The 22-year-old currently plys his trade for Spanish side Valencia.

Cancelo has impressed in his time at the Mestalla, and this has captured attention of the Catalan giants, who are on the search for a new right-back.

Sergi Roberto has occupied the right side of the defence this term, but manager Luis Enrique wants a suitable competitor with Aleix Vidal likely to leave the club in January.

Cancelo has adapted well to the Spanish league in recent seasons, and this has urged Barca to turn their focus to the player rather than Bellerin, who has developed in the English game.

Bellerin is currently mulling over his future at the Emirates, and signs are he could be tempted to leave North London next season with Manchester City being his main admirers.
