Chelsea join Aubameyang chase
Chelsea have reportedly joined the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international was the subject of an approach from the Gunners in the summer.
A report from The Telegraph says the Blues have stepped their pursuit for the 27-year-old with manager Antonio Conte desperate to reinforce his striking options.
However, the West London giants will have to wait until the end of the season with BvB reluctant to offload their asset midway through the campaign.
BvB are expected to demand fees of around £80m for the marksman having previously declined a £60m offer from Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are weighing up a mega bid for Aubameyang next summer with coach Pep Guardiola set to be provided with a £150m plus transfer kitty.
Aubameyang has racked 87 goals in 150 outings for Borussia Dortmund till date.
