Chelsea eyeing move for Swiss full-back
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has his eye on Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodriguez. The Switzerland international was heavily linked with a switch to Arsenal in the summer.
The 24-year-old has been one of the standout performers for the Wolves in recent seasons, and this had led to suggestions he could pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere.
According to The Guardian, Conte is weighing up a possible bid for Rodriguez, who is mainly a left-back by trade.
The Italian coach has settled for a 3-4-3 formation at Stamford Bridge this month, and Rodriguez could be the ideal player to fit in the left side of the three-man backline.
Rodriguez has appeared in over 150 outings for Wolfsburg since his switch from FC Zurich in 2012. He is also a regular with his national team having earned 43 caps till date.
