Fellaini was a panic buy - Giggs
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has insisted that Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini was a panic buy during David Moyes' reign at Old Trafford.
The Belgian international joined the Red Devils from Everton on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2013.
He has since struggled to live up to his expectations, and currently finds himself in and out of the starting setup under Jose Mourinho
Giggs, who assisted Moyes during his short stint at Manchester, revealed Fellaini was brought in to prove the club's spending might, and it was more of a 'panic buy'.
Fellaini produced yet another dismal performance for the Red Devils over the weekend as they lost out 4-0 to Chelsea on Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian has netted 11 goals in 96 appearances for Manchester United till date.
