Lyon eager to extend Lacazette stay
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that his side are planning talks with Alexandre Lacazette over a fresh contract. The 25-year-old has been in fine form for Les Gones this season netting nine goals in all competitions.
The French striker was the subject of strong interest from English giants Arsenal in the summer before Les Gones placed a £58m price tag on his services.
He has since maintained his form in Ligue 1, and if it was not for his hamstring injury, Lyon could have been much higher up in the table.
While interacting with reporters, Aulas revealed his desire to extend Lacazette's contract amid the constant speculation over his future.
"I would like for us to be able to extend Alexandre's contract." he told reporters.
Slaven Bilic's West Ham United are keeping a close eye on Lacazette's situation as they seek to solve their need for a top-class striker.
