Chelsea on search for Fabregas replacement
Chelsea are on the look out for a replacement for midfielder Cesc Fabregas despite his reluctance to leave Stamford Bridge in January. The Spain international is no more than a squad player at the West London giants.
Fabregas, 29, has barely featured for the Blues this season, and his situation is likely to remain the same given the exceptional form for N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic in the heart of the midfield.
According to The Mail, the Blues have Javier Pastore and Marcelo Brozovic as their top targets in the New Year as they bid to add a new midfielder to their ranks.
Fabregas has been linked with a potential loan move to the Serie A in recent weeks, but the World Cup winner is for now willing to fight for his position with the in-form side.
Antonio Conte has done wonders with his Chelsea squad this season, and they are currently a solitary point behind high-flying Liverpool.
