Sissoko off to Juve

Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has been transferred to Juventus for a fee believed to be £8.2m.

Sissoko has found himself out of favour at Liverpool due to the emergence of Javier Mascherano.

"I am happy to come to such an important club. This is certainly a step forward in my career," he said.

"I am excited at the thought of playing with great champions like [Gianluigi] Buffon and [Alessandro] Del Piero and working again with Claudio Ranieri, a great coach," he added.

This move should pave the way for Liverpool to complete the services of Mascherano who is on a 2-year loan at Liverpool.
