Fabregas Committed To Chelsea

Fabregas says he is committed to Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge for a while now, but he has claimed that he is 100 percent staying with the Premier League leaders.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Fabregas says that the option of leaving the Blues has never crossed his mind, with his main focus on breaking into the starting lineup and helping Chelsea to success. This season has seen the Spain international start just five Premier League games, being mainly used as a substitute, which is more than he was getting at the start of the season, where he appeared to not be part of new manager Antonio Conte's plans for the club. With the impressive performances of Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante, it has been hard for Fabregas to break into the side, but he insists "I have been proving myself every time I have had a chance and I will not stop until I play every game which is what I want."

Fabregas' attitude, despite being on the bench more often that not, is a credit to himself, but also to manager Antonio Conte, as he appears to be keeping morale throughout his whole squad, despite players not getting as much game time as they would like. This is in stark contrast to the situation under previous manager Jose Mourinho, where Fabregas was rumoured to have been one of the senior players who was not happy under the boss at that time, which ultimately lead to his dismissal. Although Fabregas says that he is happy at the club, if he continues to be named as a substitute, another club may look into making an offer for the highly talented 29 year old midfielder.
