Klopp and his players have come under scrutiny due to recent form

Following Liverpool's 3-1 defeat to Leicester City last night, and the poor manner in which they were brushed aside, social media site Twitter witnessed the trending of the hashtag "#KloppOut" , suggesting that fans of the Merseyside club may be starting to think that Jurgen Klopp is not the man to lead them back to former glories.

The defeat on Monday night is the latest in a string of poor results for Liverpool, who started the season fantastically, but have since fallen out of contention for the Premier League title. The dip in form has also seen Liverpool knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Wolves

Klopp has been a highly popular manager since taking over from Brendan Rodgers, with his exciting brand of football and charismatic interviews. However, the reality is, Klopp's side have less points than Rodgers' team did after the same amount of games, and have fallen short in the hunt for silverware, having lost two cup finals.

Klopp himself admitted after the Leicester game that he and the players are playing for their futures at the club, after winning just two of their last twelve matches.

Jurgen Klopp still has the support of many Liverpool fans, with them putting the poor form down to player's bad performances as opposed to Klopp himself. Klopp will try to rally his team to a strong finish to the season now, to provide a building block for what they hope is a more successful season next time around.
