Thibaut Courtois stalling on Chelsea extension?
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has yet to open up talks over a fresh contract despite interest from Real Madrid.
The Belgian international has more than two years on his present deal at Stamford Bridge, but speculation over his future has grown amid reports linking him with a return to the Spanish capital.
Courtois spent three successive loan spells at Atletico between 2011, and 2014 after which he established himself as the number one for the west London giants.
The 24-year-old is said to be the top option to replace Keylor Navas as Los Blancos' number one, and according to Evening Standard, the European champions have been encouraged by the Blues' lack of intent in extending his contract.
Nevertheless, Courtois is expected to cost Real Madrid in excess of £70m, and this could see them shift their focus to one of Manchester United's David de Gea or Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo Lloris in the summer.
The shot-stopper has been ever-present in the league this season where Chelsea have clinched a 10-point gap over Tottenham at the top.
