Antonio Conte identifies potential striker signing
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will reportedly turn his attention towards Andrea Belotti during the summer transfer window. The Italy international has impressed for Torino this season with 21 goals across all competitions.
According to The Sun, scouts from both the Blues and Arsenal were in attendance to watch the striker in action against Fiorentina on Monday night.
The 23-year-old netted a brace in the 2-2 draw in Florence with forgotten Manchester City star Joe Hart putting a star performance of his own in the Serie A clash.
Belotti was alleged to have been the subject of a £55m approach from the Gunners in January before Arsene Wenger dismissed the claims.
But, it now appears that there is indeed interest, with Conte seeking to outbid the Gunners to the striker's signature.
The Italian currently has a hefty release clause of £86m and the Blues will have to offload Michy Batshuayi in order to recoup additional funds for the summer business.
Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League with 63 points, 10 ahead of London neighbours Tottenham Hotspur.
