Arsenal failed with Daniele Rugani bid
Arsenal reportedly saw a £25m plus offer rebuffed for Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani in January.
The 22-year-old has been on Arsene Wenger's radar for a while, and it is understood that the Gunners were keen on signing the youngster, who joined the Old Lady from Empoli for £3.4m in 2013.
Calciomercato claims that the Gunners had lodged a renewed bid for the Italian during the winter transfer window, but their offer was turned down with Juve deeming the player 'untouchable'.
Rugani has made just 11 league starts during the ongoing campaign, but the Serie A holders see him as an integral part of the side with Leonardo Bonucci being linked with a summer exit from Turin.
Bonucci is back on the radar of both Manchester City and Chelsea, and he could be offloaded for his maximum value as he approaches the latter stages of his career.
Rugani had also been subject of a transfer approach from league rivals Everton last summer, but they were snubbed without notice.
