Fabio Cannavaro admits Romelu Lukaku interest
Tianjin Quanjian manager Fabio Cannavaro has admitted that the club are indeed interested in Romelu Lukaku, but it would be hard to lure him to the Chinese Super League.
The Belgian international has been in red-hot form for the Toffees in recent weeks, and he is currently on 17 league goals - a joint-lead he holds alongside Harry Kane and Alexis Sanchez.
Lukaku's future has been the subject of strong speculation in the past couple of months, but his agent claimed earlier in the week that a new deal at Goodison is '99.99' percent done.
In a report on The Sun, Cannavaro, a World Cup winner with Italy in 2006, admits that the 23-year-old is on their radar, but the Toffees are likely to block any proposed move to China.
"It is possible to speak to Romelu Lukaku, but the problem is that Everton don't want to let him leave," he is quoted as saying by The Sun.
He added that age should not be the reason to ignore a lucrative deal with Oscar having arrived at Shanghai SIPG to lift more trophies.
Belgian teammate Radja Nainggolan is also another said to be on Tianjin's radar, given he can apply for an Indonesian passport to fulfil the Asian quota at the club.
