De Gea could remain at United beyond the summer

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea will reportedly snub advances from Real Madrid this summer as he is still disturbed over the collapsed transfer in 2015.

The Spain international was due to make his dream move to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2015 with Keylor Navas moving the other way.

Unfortunately, Los Blancos' officials failed to get the necessary documents registered before the transfer deadline, and this eventually pulled the plug on his proposed move.

De Gea has since committed his future at Old Trafford on a four-year contract with an additional year to boost for the Mancunian giants.

According to The Star, the shot-stopper is still angry over his failed move two years ago, and this could come to hunt Los Blancos in their pursuit of the player.

However, the European champions, this time around, do have other options in hand with Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois and Tottenham's Hugo Lloris lined up as backup options.

De Gea has appeared in 258 outings for the FA Cup holders since his switch from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
