Premier League toppers Chelsea are set to revive their long-term interest in Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer.



The Senegal international had been the subject of multiple bids from the Blues at the start of the campaign, but the player eventually opted to stay put in Naples.

Antonio Conte's side had therein followed to sign both Marcos Alonso and David Luiz on deadline day last summer, and the duo have since emerged as key contributors in the Blues' setup.

According to The Star, Conte still maintains a keen interest in the central defender and he is prepared to lure him this time around with the guarantee of Champions League football for the next campaign.

Koulibaly's Napoli are currently third in the Serie A, which assures a Champions League play-off spot, but the Blues will nevertheless, seek to tempt the player to move to west London.

The 25-year-old has appeared over 100 times for Napoli since arriving from Belgian side Genk in the summer of 2014.
